“If we cause problems for Sporting, unrest could arise”

Date:

“SWe know that Sporting will want to come out very strong and want to resolve the game early. Let’s try to postpone this resolution of the game. Every minute that passes could play in our favor and make the opponent uneasy. We hope that this plan we have drawn up will have an effect. We know that, if we cause problems for Sporting, the uneasiness could come to the fore, but we are very focused on our way of being”, highlighted the coach, in a preview press conference.

The plan outlined will involve “creating buffers and having the right solutions for connections, having clear exit paths”, since Sporting “is an aggressive team, looking for man to man and ‘asphyxiating’ the opponent’s construction phase”.

“Regardless of the current moment, Sporting is an excellent team, which will make the game very difficult for us. We have to take care of the opponent’s strengths and we can take advantage of some weaknesses, but we will have to show consistency, which will also give us growth. Things have to go really well for us, we have to be very focused and concentrated”, warned the Lisbon coach.

However, the plan to stop Colombian striker Luis Suárez “is the same one used to nullify Antonetti from Estrela da Amadora”, pointed out Filipe Coelho, who was proud of the performance in the last round and the unity of the squad.

“I want to highlight the competent, energetic and committed manner of the group, which is united. We moved some pieces and everyone continues to push. Everyone is very connected and without a doubt the points will arrive in a more consistent manner. Based on the performances we have already had, we could have more points on the table, but we have seven and that is the reality we have to live with. We are building something good, but we need points to validate this idea”, said the coach.

Goalkeeper André Gomes continues to be the only member of the club’s health report and, therefore, will be out of options, as midfielder Sebastián Pérez, who was injured in the last game, “trained normally during the week”.

Casa Pia, 16th and second to last, with seven points, receives Sporting, third, with 18, on Friday, at 8:15 pm, at the Rio Maior Municipal Stadium, in the 10th round of the I Football League, with Miguel Fonseca, from the Porto association, refereeing.
