THE Coach Sérgio Fonseca left the technical command of AVS, for personal reasons, the club from the Portuguese Second Football League announced today.
“The amicable termination of the contract that linked the parties follows the request of the coach, who cited strictly personal reasons”, revealed the club, in a note published on its social networks.
The departure comes unexpectedly, after the Vila das Aves team’s 1-0 victory over Moreirense, from the I League, in the third round of the Portuguese Cup.
AVS, 12th in the II League, with nine points, returns to the championship on Sunday with the reception to Tondela, in the eighth round.
