THE Some people’s bad luck can be others’ luck. In football, this logic applies whenever a starter is injured and opens up a place in the eleven. At FC Porto things are no different and Francesco Farioli is practically forced to include Deniz Gul in the team that will face, on Saturday night, Rio Ave, in the 2nd round of the I League.
Without Samu, still recovering after a major injury, and André Silva, who contracted a physical problem a week ago, the Turkish striker has another opportunity to show his value and cling tooth and nail to his continuity at Dragão.
However, Farioli may want to make more changes to the eleven, as FC Porto has not been particularly brilliant in offensive terms.
