THE This Wednesday, FC Porto formalized the departure of Rodrigo Mora to AS Roma, revealing the details of the deal in a statement sent to the Securities Market Commission. The Italian club pays 25 million euros for 50% of the 19-year-old player’s pass, with a further two million euros remaining pending goals.
AS Roma also has options to acquire up to 50% of the athlete’s economic rights for a total amount of 25 million euros, while FC Porto “also holds an unconditional sale option for the percentage of economic rights it retains in its possession for the same reference value”, which implies the mandatory purchase, by AS Roma, of the percentage that FC Porto decides to sell.
The blue and white SAD also explains that if AS Roma does not acquire all of the athlete’s economic rights, FC Porto will have the option of selling all of the economic rights, “being able to guarantee a minimum income of 50 million”.
On the other hand, if you prefer, you can keep a percentage of the economic rights to be defined, taking advantage of a future sale of the player for a possibly higher value.
SAD Porto clarifies, finally, that “no deduction will be made to the amounts receivable by FC Porto through the solidarity mechanism”, further declaring that the business “will incur charges for intermediation services of 10% of the transaction amount”.
