Paulo Fonseca said, this Friday, at the press conference previewing the match of the 11th round of the I League, against Moreirense, that he continues to believe that Sporting can become national champions, despite already being nine points behind the leader of the table, FC Porto.
In front of journalists, the former Olympique Lyon player explained what he considers “urgent” to change in the way the green and white team plays, and even recalled what Pep Guardiola said about facing Gian Piero Gasperini (“It’s like going to the dentist”), to illustrate the dangers that opponents can put in his path.
Finally, the Portuguese-Mozambican praised the coaches of the eternal rivals, Francesco Farioli (from FC Porto) and Marco Silva (from Benfica), and confirmed that Rodrigo Zalazar is able to join the squad list, unlike Zeno Debast and Nuno Santos, who continue to be under the care of the green and white clinical department.
