THE Benfica drew, on Thursday night, in their visit to Hearts’ stronghold (1-1), confirming their place in the playoff for access to the Europa League. The Eagles had a large advantage gained in the first leg, but they still had strong support on the trip to Tynecastle Park, in Scotland.
As soon as the final whistle sounded, Benfica’s players made a point of thanking the fans for their presence, in a moment of communion that was not affected by the equal score.
